Scented tea, also known as fragrant tea, is a type of reprocessed tea unique to China, made by brewing the flowers, leaves, or fruits of plants. It utilizes tea's ability to absorb odors; fragrant flowers and new tea are left to steep together, the tea absorbing the fragrance before the dried flowers are removed. The resulting scented tea has a rich aroma and deep tea liquor color.

Scented tea can be further divided into herbal teas and fruit teas. Those using leaves or flowers are called herbal teas, such as lotus leaf and stevia leaf. Those using fruits are called fruit teas, such as figs, lemon, hawthorn, monk fruit, and other fruits with blossoms. They are fragrant and have health benefits. The appearance is tightly bound and even, with a yellowish-green and moist color; the inner quality has a fresh and rich aroma, with a distinct floral fragrance, a light yellow and bright liquor color, and tender and even leaves.

Scented tea primarily uses green tea, black tea, or oolong tea as the base, paired with fragrant fresh flowers as raw materials. It is made using a scenting process. Based on the type of flower used, it is categorized into jasmine tea, magnolia tea, osmanthus tea, and bead orchid tea, with jasmine tea having the largest production volume.
