Jasmine tea is a reprocessed flower tea, categorized as a flower tea, not a black tea or green tea. Jasmine tea is custom-made by blending tea leaves and fresh jasmine flowers, allowing the tea leaves to fully absorb the jasmine fragrance. Jasmine tea is generally made using green tea buds as the base for scenting.
Given a certain temperature and time, we know that tea leaves absorb the fragrance of flowers, and the characteristics of the flower's fragrance absorption and release, one inhalation and one exhalation, result in various flower teas. Jasmine is considered a high-fragranced flower, and many teas can be made using jasmine, such as green tea buds, black tea buds, oolong tea buds, and even black tea buds. In fact, it's not only jasmine flowers that are now used to make tea; now, there are also osmanthus and rose flowers, etc., used to produce corresponding flower teas.
All six major categories of tea can be used as raw materials for jasmine tea; there is jasmine green tea, jasmine black tea, and jasmine Liu Bao tea. However, jasmine green tea is the most common, and the quantity of jasmine tea is increasing, with more people accepting jasmine white tea. Jasmine Liu Bao tea, etc., are less common. The ways of drinking tea have also become increasingly diverse, with various new tea drinks being developed in different places.
